Jon Norman is a young and aspiring folk-rock band from Aarhus, Denmark with the icelandic-born singer-songwriter, Jón Nordmann Óttarsson, in front. As a songwriter, Jon is wise beyond his years. An old soul, his special and scandinavian take on music mixes his love for classic North American flavoured, road weary travelogues with the longing and passion of Jeff Buckley and the bygone romance of early Tom Waits. 

Jon performs the songs with a heartfelt and honest intimacy that swings you around the neighbourhood barroom as well as themes of identity and finding your place in life. 

The mindset behind the music is based around the mantra: don’t make music more difficult than it has to be – but find into the deepest substance and core of the song and enhance it with musical emotion and sentiment. This is always in mind, when making the musical arrangements of the songs.
